The Air Jordan 8 Retro SP 'SoleFly Mi Casa Es Su Casa' (2023) represents a distinctive collaboration between Jordan Brand and Miami-based sneaker boutique SoleFly. Released in 2023 during the Air Jordan 8's 30th anniversary year, the collaboration draws from SoleFly's Miami roots and Cuban cultural influences, with the “Mi Casa Es Su Casa” name translating to “My House Is Your House.” The result is a refined take on the iconic Air Jordan 8, combining a predominantly Sail and white colour palette with Varsity Red details and Metallic Gold accents.
Overview
The Air Jordan 8 Retro SP 'SoleFly Mi Casa Es Su Casa' features a Sail/Fossil/Varsity Red/Metallic Gold colourway, with the predominantly light-toned upper contrasted by red detailing and metallic gold hardware. SoleFly branding appears throughout the design, including the cross straps, tongue and custom insoles, while the chenille tongue patch adds a signature Air Jordan 8 detail. The collaboration also incorporates Cuban-inspired touches, including tile-inspired graphics featured on the sockliner and special packaging designed to resemble a cigar box. The shoe carries style code FJ2850-107 and originally released through SoleFly on December 8, 2023, followed by a Nike SNKRS release on December 16, 2023.
Key Highlights
• SoleFly x Jordan Brand Collaboration: A Miami-rooted collaboration celebrating the Air Jordan 8's 30th anniversary with SoleFly's distinctive design language.
• Cuban-Inspired Details: Tile-inspired graphics, cigar-box-inspired packaging and other design elements connect the sneaker to Cuban heritage and SoleFly's Miami identity.
• Signature Air Jordan 8 Construction: Retains the defining cross straps, chenille tongue patch and distinctive Air Jordan 8 silhouette while introducing SoleFly-specific branding.
