Overview
The Gel-Kayano 20 first launched in 2013, known for structural cushioning over longer distances. ASICS has since brought it back as a lifestyle shoe, and the Gel-Kayano 20 Independence Blue Pure Silver is one of the reissue's darker, navy-toned colourways.
The design draws on the shapes of buildings and cars for a technical, early-2010s look. A FluidFit cage gives a glove-like fit, with criss-cross TPU applied to key areas for support over breathable mesh underlays. Dual GEL inserts in the rearfoot and forefoot cushion each step, and the Guidance Trusstic system adds midfoot stability.
