Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Peterson OG Sole Canvas Low Black exemplifies the avant‑garde fusion of Japanese design ingenuity and everyday wearability that has become synonymous with Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s footwear. This 2022 release reinterprets the classic low‑top canvas sneaker through the brand’s distinctive lens, pairing a minimalist black canvas upper with a sculptural, warped sole that elevates an everyday silhouette into a fashion‑forward statement piece. The shoe balances functional elements like contrast stitching and durable canvas with the brand’s signature experimental aesthetic.
Overview
The Maison Mihara Yasuhiro Peterson OG Sole Canvas Low 'Black' (2022) features a black canvas upper accented by contrast stitching that reinforces its handcrafted appeal. A woven MMY tongue tag and subtle heel branding bring authentic designer details to the forefront. Underfoot, the exaggerated rubber sole — inspired by original clay‑molded prototypes — delivers a unique visual texture and enhanced presence, distinguishing this low‑top from traditional lifestyle sneakers. The lace‑up closure with metal eyelets and flat woven laces ensures a secure and adaptive fit, while the treaded rubber outsole offers reliable traction for everyday wear. This combination of artisanal design and practical construction cements the Peterson Low as both a collectible and a versatile addition to contemporary wardrobes.
Key Highlights
• Avant‑Garde Canvas Upper: Durable black canvas with contrast stitching offers breathability and visual depth.
• Signature Sculptural Sole: Oversized, warped rubber sole based on handmade clay models typifies Mihara’s experimental design ethos.
• Designer Branding: Discreet MMY tongue label and heel branding lend authentic Maison Mihara Yasuhiro identity.
