Rooted in New Balance’s rich running heritage, this colourway elevates the technical 1906R silhouette through refined, darker tones that balance function, comfort, and understated sophistication. Designed for modern wear while staying true to its performance origins, the ‘Dark Metallic Rosewood’ edition reflects New Balance’s commitment to craftsmanship and innovation in the retro-runner space.
Overview
The New Balance 1906R ‘Dark Metallic Rosewood’ features a breathable mesh upper layered with durable synthetic overlays, creating depth and structure across the silhouette. Metallic rosewood accents introduce a subtle sheen, contrasting against darker neutral tones for a sleek yet versatile aesthetic. Underfoot, the sneaker is equipped with New Balance’s proven cushioning system, combining ACTEVA LITE foam with ABZORB SBS heel pods for responsive comfort and stability. The N-ergy outsole technology enhances shock absorption, while a Stability Web midfoot shank supports natural foot movement. Together, these performance-driven elements make the 1906R equally suited for all-day wear and long-term durability, reinforcing its status as a standout modern retro runner.
