The Nike Air Max Plus TN 'Black Aqua' (DM0032-401), officially the Light Retro colourway, is a 2023 edition of Sean McDowell's 1998 runner. Released for the model's 25th anniversary, it fades a turquoise upper into a jet-black heel under a Caribbean Sea theme.
Overview
Sean McDowell's Air Max Plus debuted in 1998 with Tuned Air cushioning, and 2023 marked its 25th anniversary. The Air Max Plus TN Black Aqua was part of that celebration, with a Caribbean Sea theme carried through the colour and detailing.
The gradient upper runs from turquoise at the toe to black at the heel, with dark palm tree-inspired TPU overlays across the sides. White Swooshes stand out against the darker overlays and sole, while a gradient-coated whale-tail shank sits at the midfoot. Tuned Air cushioning and the TN heel tab complete the build.
The aqua-to-black fade makes this an easy Air Max Plus to wear. It pairs with black trackpants, cargos or shorts, and suits anyone building a collection of TN gradients.
