The Nike Air Max Plus TN 'Killer Whale' (CT1094-102) is the Air Max Plus in the White/Black-Metallic Pewter colourway, nicknamed for its orca-like black and white contrast. First released in 2020, it sets a black mesh upper against white leather mudguards and a white midsole.
Overview
Designed by Sean McDowell and introduced in 1998, the Air Max Plus launched Nike's Tuned Air cushioning and the TN branding that has made it a streetwear staple around the world. The Air Max Plus Killer Whale, also called 'Orca' or 'Black Pewter', earned its name from a black upper broken up by white panels.
Black technical mesh forms the base, with wavy gradient overlays fading from black toward white across the midfoot. White takes over the tongue, sockliner and leather mudguard, while a jewelled mini Swoosh and TN Air branding on the tongue and heel add metallic detail. Tuned Air cushioning sits in the white midsole over a black rubber outsole.
The high-contrast blocking is simple to style with black tracksuits, cargos or dark denim. It is a core pair for TN collectors who want a monochrome option with more character than an all-black build.
